An Update on the Third Public Open House
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Bowesville Area Open House. It was great to see so many residents taking the time to learn about the proposed future neighbourhood and share their thoughts on the different land-use options.

During the open house, I also heard a number of questions and concerns from residents. I will be meeting with City planners to get answers and will share updates here as more information becomes available.
Some of the key information shared at the meeting included:
- Approximately 7,200 new homes are planned.
- The community is expected to include eight schools, a fire station and several parks.
- Construction is anticipated to begin around 2030.
- The Earl Armstrong Road extension – a priority project in the Transportation Master Plan – and the expansion of the Bowesville Park and Ride are two important infrastructure projects identified on the plans that will be needed to support growth in the area.

What is Bowesville?
Bowesville is a proposed future neighbourhood in the south end of Ottawa. The approximately 406-hectare area was added to the City’s urban boundary in 2021 and is now a secondary planning process.
What is being planned?
The City and the project team are developing plans for future housing, roads, parks, open spaces and other land uses. The process will also identify the transportation, water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure required to support the new community.
Where are we now?
Residents are invited to the third Public Open House, where the project team will present the proposed land-use, servicing and mobility plans. Residents will be able to ask questions, speak with technical experts and provide feedback.

Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., with a presentation at 7:00 p.m.
