Congratulations to the Osgoode Youth Association (O‑YA) on an incredible 20 years in our community! It was a joy to join founding members and the dedicated team who continue to make O‑YA a vibrant, welcoming space for youth in and around Osgoode.
O‑YA’s engaging programs—including those supporting youth mental health—show exactly what thoughtful, community‑driven youth services can achieve. Hearing from young people who grew up attending O‑YA and now work there was a powerful reminder of its impact. It was also wonderful to join MP Bruce Fanjoy, MPP George Darouze, and Mayor Mark Sutcliffe in recognizing this milestone and celebrating everything O‑YA brings to our community.
A heartfelt congratulations to Executive Director Carley Scharf, the board, staff, and the many volunteers who shape O‑YA into the supportive hub it is today. For two decades, you have created opportunities for young people to grow, lead, and strengthen our community. Here’s to the next 20 years of success—thank you for everything you do!
OYA will be hosting its annual ‘Goode Run on Saturday May 9th, show your support and find out more here: The Goode’ Run
