Cleaning the Capital is back for its Spring campaign! With the snow (hopefully) melting soon, I know many of us are more than ready to get outside and help freshen up our neighbourhoods. This citywide cleanup happens every spring and fall and is a great way to come together as a community while keeping Ottawa clean and green.
Key program dates:
March 27: Registration opens
April 2 – May 15: Cleanup kits available for pickup at the Metcalfe Client Service Centre
April 15 – May 31: Cleaning the Capital Spring Campaign
May 4: Registration closes
Once the program has started and you’ve registered your litter‑pickup project, cleanup kits can be picked up at the Metcalfe Client Service Centre on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It’s also a great opportunity for high school students to earn volunteer hours while giving back to their community. Whether you can help for an hour or a day, every little bit helps, and small efforts truly make a big difference.
