REMINDER: Your Waste Collection Day May Change Starting Monday, March 30

Starting Monday, March 30, the waste collection day for some Ward 20 households will change due to updates to the City’s curbside collection contract. Please check your collection schedule online to see whether your household is affected. It is important to note that the frequency of garbage, green bin, leaf and yard waste, and recycling collection is not changing. As part of the transition to the new collection schedule, some households may experience two weeks of the same waste stream being collected. To accommodate this disruption, between March 30 and April 24, all households that receive curbside collection services may place up to six garbage items at the curb on your new scheduled garbage collection day.

Leaf and yard waste will continue to be collected weekly, but must be set out separately from the green bin in a reusable container labelled “leaf and yard waste” or in brown paper bags.

The City has a new how-to video to support residents in using our digital collection calendar. Watch here: How to use the digital waste collection calendar
