Early Planning Underway
My office is working with City staff and the Vars Community Association to advance planning for a new community building in Vars—an initiative that was identified by the community as a top local priority.

A working session with key community stakeholders and the City’s project lead is scheduled for August 14, 2026. The purpose of this initial meeting is to review the project’s background, discuss its potential scope, and identify the next steps required to move the planning process forward.

Broader community engagement on needs and design is expected to follow once the initial framework and next steps have been established, with the goal of beginning that conversation in fall 2026.

I will continue to share updates as the City’s planning process progresses and opportunities for broader public participation are identified.
