I had the pleasure of hosting the first Osgoode Ward Advisory Committee meeting of 2026, and it was a fantastic way to start the year. This group brings together leaders from our community associations, clubs, businesses, and farms – truly representing every corner of Osgoode Ward.
These meetings are a valuable opportunity to share updates, flag emerging issues, and find common priorities. The conversations around the table help guide my work and strengthen the connections that make our ward so special. We had an important discussion about the growing demand for small-scale, affordable seniors’ housing in our rural communities, and why it’s so important that rural voices are part of the housing conversation.
A big thank you to Laurel McCreight from the City of Ottawa’s Rural Affairs Office for joining us and sharing how she helps residents navigate the City on rural issues.
Osgoode Ward is incredibly lucky to have such thoughtful, dedicated volunteers and business leaders. I always leave these meetings feeling inspired and grateful. Thank you for everything you do!
