There’s something special about a room full of volunteers—and celebrating my 2nd Community Volunteer Appreciation Awards was a perfect reminder of that. The room was packed with incredible volunteers, along with family and friends who came out to support them. It was a chance to celebrate the time, energy, and heart that so many people pour into making Osgoode Ward such a special place to call home.
A big congratulations to all of our award recipients. Your dedication—whether it’s organizing local events, supporting neighbours, or simply always stepping up when it matters most—truly makes a difference. We also took a moment to recognize those who couldn’t be there, including Gudrun Klingelstein, recipient of the H.R. Dick McLaughlin Memorial Award.
A heartfelt thank you to Matt Nesrallah for once again emceeing the evening. He did an incredible job, and I’m so grateful he joined us again this year. And thank you to Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, Councillor David Brown, and MPP George Darouze for taking the time to come out and support such an important evening for our community. Of course, a big thank you as well to Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre for hosting us and helping create such a beautiful setting.
