Thank you to all the families, friends, and neighbours who joined us to celebrate the official opening of Cedarlakes Park! Seeing so many people come together to enjoy this beautiful new space was a wonderful reminder of why projects like this matter so much.
Neighbourhood parks are at the heart of strong, connected communities. They provide a place for children to play, families to gather, neighbours to meet, and lasting memories to be made. Cedarlakes Park will serve as a welcoming community hub for years to come, and it was incredible to see it already filled with laughter, energy, and excitement on opening day.
This project was first championed by MPP George Darouze many years ago, and it has been a privilege to help see that vision become a reality. After years of planning, collaboration, and dedication from many individuals, the park project is now officially complete. I was proud to help bring this important community investment across the finish line and celebrate this milestone with residents who will benefit from it for years to come.

Join Us for the Cedarlakes Park Opening Celebration!

The City of Ottawa completed a public consultation on the design of Cedarlakes Park in Greely, where residents had the opportunity to share their feedback. Following the consultation, Concept Plan II was strongly preferred, with 88% of respondents selecting Option 2.
I’m excited to share that construction of Cedarlakes Park has already begun at 1720 Cedarlakes Way in Greely! This new park will be a wonderful addition to the community, providing a welcoming space for residents of all ages to enjoy. Work is expected to be completed before the end of June, just in time for summer.
