Three grant streams are available through the Ottawa 200 program, distributing a total of $750,000 across the city in 2026. The funding is intended to engage diverse cultural communities, Indigenous peoples, Francophone communities, and youth, while amplifying and celebrating the shared stories and experiences that shape Ottawa’s identity. Focused on dynamic, interactive, and inclusive public events—as well as locally rooted initiatives—these programs are open to Business Improvement Areas (BIAs), artists and arts organizations, and cultural and community non-profit organizations.

These funding opportunities present an excellent chance for our local Community Associations and non-profit organizations to plan and deliver meaningful events in celebration of Ottawa 200. We encourage all associations to explore these supports and consider applying for projects or activities that highlight our community’s heritage, strengthen neighbourhood connections, and contribute to the city-wide celebrations happening throughout the year. This is a wonderful moment to showcase the spirit of our ward and ensure our communities are well represented as Ottawa marks this historic milestone.
