South Nation Conservation (SNC) celebrated a major milestone with the donation of approximately 200 acres of ecologically significant land within the Leitrim Wetland, thanks to Tamarack Homes, Tartan Homes, and Regional Group. With this addition, SNC expanded its protected area to about 330 acres—helping secure one of Eastern Ontario’s most important wetlands. The Leitrim Wetland supported over 90 bird species, rare plant habitats, and played a vital role in water quality and natural flood protection. This milestone reflected strong community partnerships and a shared commitment to balancing growth with environmental stewardship—ensuring this unique natural space was protected for generations to come.
