Osgoode Landfill to Park Conversion
My office is working with City staff to explore the possible future conversion of the former Osgoode landfill (located on Osgoode Main Street) into public park space.

This is a community-led initiative in collaboration with the Osgoode Village Community Association, with residents expressing a strong interest in seeing the site naturalized and developed with passive recreational amenities, including a nature trail similar to Conroy Pit.

Before a concept or project timeline can be established, the City must review the site’s environmental conditions, applicable regulatory requirements, and the types of public uses that could safely and appropriately be accommodated. The next step is to engage a contractor to conduct the necessary assessments and to determine a path forward.
